Nobody talks about the 7 AM emails.
Or the two meetings that got dropped because something else caught fire. Or the hour spent fine-tuning a proposal before a sales meeting, hoping the numbers land right and the client sees what you see.
That’s the real version of running a company. And that’s what we wanted to show.
The Morning Starts Before the Office Does
Yoga first. Then email. Then Teamwork to catch up on everything that moved while the day hadn’t officially started yet. It sounds like a routine, but it’s really just triage. You’re sorting through what needs attention now and what can wait until after the next call.
Running Fisher Agency means wearing a lot of hats before 9 AM.
Most of the Day Looks Nothing Like What People Expect
There’s a version of “CEO life” that gets shared online. It looks polished. It looks effortless. That’s not this.
Most days are proposals, team check-ins, and follow-ups. A big chunk of the work is internal, supporting the people doing the actual execution, clearing blockers, keeping projects moving. The glamour is mostly a myth. The grind is very real.
That’s not a complaint. It’s just honest.
The Pitch Prep
Today’s goal was specific: get the proposal finished and get to the meeting ready to present it properly.
That meant setting up the conference room, connecting to the big screen, and making sure everything would project the way it needed to. No scrambling in front of a client. No technical hiccups at the wrong moment. You control what you can control.
Fingers crossed going into that room. That part never fully goes away, no matter how long you’ve been doing this.
Why We Showed This
Fisher Agency has been in business for over 30 years. We know how to put together a great proposal. We know how to walk into a meeting prepared.
But we also think there’s value in showing the work behind the work. The mornings, the prep, the behind-the-scenes reality of what it actually takes to run a marketing agency and show up for clients the right way.
This is what it looks like. Most days, anyway.
