Balancing Innovation with Responsibility: Our Stance on AI-First Web Design in Jacksonville, Florida
There is no doubt that fully AI-built websites are the future. The real question isn’t if they will take over, but when the technology is ready to support businesses without compromise. What’s most remarkable is just how quickly this space is evolving.
Recently, we’ve seen many agencies make bold claims that they are abandoning WordPress altogether. With more than 30 years of experience in website design, we approach framework shifts with intention and responsibility. While we agree this evolution is inevitable, the reality today is that the technology is not yet mature enough to replace the infrastructure our clients rely on. It’s advancing rapidly, but moving entirely to AI-only platforms right now would require sacrificing critical elements such as robust client access, advanced customization, and fully scalable architectures. That would be a step backward, not forward.
That said, AI is already deeply embedded in how we work. Our team actively uses AI across design, development, copywriting, and optimization to improve efficiency and outcomes. However, a full transition to AI-only websites without proven stability, scalability, and SEO reliability would not serve our clients’ best interests. As experts, our responsibility is to recommend solutions that protect long-term growth, not just chase emerging trends.
We continuously test the latest AI website platforms, and one of our current favorites is Astro. While promising, when compared side-by-side with WordPress, it still lacks the depth, flexibility, and enterprise-level readiness our clients expect. At this stage, it represents progress, but not a replacement.
We believe AI-first websites will take center stage within the next 1–2 years. When that moment arrives, our clients will be the first to know and the first to benefit from a seamless, strategic upgrade path. Until then, our focus remains on moving forward responsibly protecting trust, ensuring scalability, and safeguarding search visibility and rankings.
Below is our comparison of AI-built websites versus WordPress sites, based on real-world testing and client needs.
